Our founder, Dr. Sayed Ibrahim, emigrated to the US from Sudan. working his way through Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he earned a PhD in chemistry, and secured a top position at Colgate-Palmolive developing global commercialization of patented personal and oral care products.
He was recipient of 3 Colgate-Palmolive Innovation Fund Projects for scientific innovation and entrepreneurialism, and the NJSBDC Success Award for Growth & Innovation, where he served as an advisory board member.
Inspired by the natural remedies of his ancestors, he embarked on a journey to bring ancient secrets into the modern skincare routine, crafting each product to represent commitment to wellness, sustainability, and absolute purity.

1970s
the seed of inspiration
when Dr. Sayed was 8 years old, he witnessed the healing power of black seed oil. his mother used it to treat gum inflammation, & within a couple of days, her symptoms disappeared. this early encounter, with the encouragement of his parents, ignited his passion for harnessing nature's power to heal & enhance health.
1997
academic & professional foundations
in 1997, Dr. Sayed received his PhD in organic chemistry with a focus on natural products. this journey solidified his expertise in natural ingredients. after his PhD, he worked at Colgate-Palmolive, gaining invaluable insights into the commercial skincare & wellness industry. his experience underscored the importance of creating safe, effective alternatives to synthetic chemicals in mainstream products.
2012
from humble beginnings to global impact
after leaving Colgate-Palmolive to pursue his vision, Dr. Sayed established a modest 350 sq. ft. lab to develop innovative formulations. today, it has grown into an 11,000 sq. ft. facility, with plans for a 45,000 sq. ft. expansion, setting new standards in natural health & wellness.

pioneering natural oral care
inspired by his early memories & research, Dr. Sayed developed a groundbreaking formulation combining black seed oil & zinc. this unique blend, patented for its synergistic antimicrobial properties, revolutionized oral care by addressing gum inflammation without harming beneficial bacteria. As a result, Sprinjene toothpaste was born, marking a significant milestone in natural oral care innovations
